Why BeSciAI and Why Now?

Is time running out for your strategic initiative?

There has been a growing unease over the last decade with strategic initiatives that fail to deliver their expected value.

Turbulent times shake the core of organisations, test their flexibility and ability to reinvent themselves as their once-stable markets become unstable. Whether the turbulence is driven by political, economic, social or technological factors, it is here to stay.

Many organisations are realising that the way things have been done is no longer tenable and that they need to transform to survive.

More and more, organisations are seeking something different when it comes to approaching strategic initiatives. They often operate in large scale, complex and political environments.

Why BeSciAI?

“You can take a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink.”

Old English saying (c.1175)

The point of failure for many initiatives is not the solution itself, or the capability of the teams who need to adopt it, it is the willingness to do things differently. A mindset shift. One that requires different habits, different choices, different beliefs.

We have studied organisational motivation for over three decades, at its heart is safety which often translates to job security. Times of uncertainty are often uncertain because of the threat to our job security and financial safety.

The academic research is often idealised, focused on consumer behaviour and is hard to replicate in our complex organisations and global structures, yet humans are very predictable. Their irrationality is predictable too. As Dan Ariely says “humans are predictably irrational".

Our work with Irrational Change goes beyond human dynamics and expands into the role of leaders, tribes, groups and teams, which are also predictable. It understands the impact that culture, history and capacity have on the choices that are made.

This is the basis of Behavioural Intelligence, otherwise known as the missing link.

If you can predict the behaviour, you can design solutions which are more likely to achieve your outcomes and value.

Right first time.

Why Now?

Previously, access to Behavioural Intelligence has been limited to a small number of experts, knowing that they exist and their availability. Few organisations connected the dots and found the expertise and advice they needed, or built the capability for themselves.

Behavioural Intelligence uses sense-making to interpret language, actions and tone to predict the likely outcomes, or to design strategic solutions. Traditionally this would be collected through surveys, interviews and observable behaviours or recollections.

Generative AI and the move to virtual meetings and chat channels have changed that completely.

The sense making data is widely available, subject to GDPR restrictions, and Generative AI, with the right training, can be taught to interpret it and help you predict likely outcomes to inform your choices.

Not only that, it can be shared with teams in their own language with practical solutions to their every day challenges, in the moment.

Generative AI, when configured well, feels connected and that it does not judge. It quickly becomes a trusted advisor and opens up conversations that would otherwise not be had.

At BeSciAI we saw the opportunity in 2023. It took almost 18 months to establish the expert knowledge base and reasoning needed to teach a Generative AI model how to interpret behaviour, predict outcomes and the practical tactics that are likely to work in each unique environment.

During 2025 we tested in our clients and in 2026 we finally launched our BeSciAI, Behavioural Intelligence solutions.

Welcome to the revolution in the field of strategic transformation.
