Why I don't use AI
When asked why they do not use AI, Gallup found that 44% surveyed did not believe that AI could help them with their job. 16% did not have access to AI and 11% simply didn't want to change.
Leadership matters (no surprise there).
Where a manager is proactive and promotes the use of AI, teams are:
→ 2.1 times as likely to use AI a few times a week or more.
→ 6.5 times as likely to strongly agree that the AI tools provided by their organization are useful for their work.
→ 8.8 times as likely to strongly agree that AI gives them more opportunities to do what they do best every day.
WHY THIS MATTERS
It reinforces the influence that managers and leaders have over the outcomes and behaviours of their teams.
Recruiting leaders to authentically adopt and promote AI is most likely to drive the adoption within their teams. Start here.
Perceptions are not reality. If there is a gap between what is possible, and the perception of what is possible, are we closing the gap?
